A community song in honor of the Bab - Thou art Nearer - Full Video

đŸŽ„ Download the full HD video to sing along with and share in devotional gatherings, children’s classes, choirs, and Bahá’í Holy Day celebrations in honor of the BĂĄb.

“Thou Art Nearer” is a community song from the Writings of the Báb, created for everyone to sing together in devotional gatherings, choirs, children’s classes, and Holy Day celebrations in honor of the Báb.

At the heart of the song are these words of the BĂĄb:

“Thou art nearer unto all things than all things.”

This line is repeated throughout the piece, making it simple to learn and easy for everyone to join in. The video also includes beautiful footage of the Shrine of the BĂĄb.

Below are some of my favorite passages included in the video:

“I am the Primal Point, from which have been generated all created things
I am the Countenance of God Whose splendor can never be obscured, the light of God whose radiance can never fade
”
The World Order of Bahá’u’lláh, p. 126

“I am the Mystic Fane, which the Hand of Omnipotence hath reared. I am the Lamp which the Finger of God hath lit within its niche and caused to shine with deathless splendor. I am the Flame of that supernal Light that glowed upon Sinai in the gladsome Spot, and lay concealed in the midst of the Burning Bush.”
The World Order of Bahá’u’lláh, p. 126

“Verily I am the ‘Gate of God’ and I give you to drink, by the leave of God, the sovereign Truth, of the crystal-pure waters of His Revelation which are gushing out from the incorruptible Fountain situate upon the Holy Mount.”
Selections from the Writings of the BĂĄb, p. 50

“I am, I am, I am the Promised One! I am the One whose name you have for a thousand years invoked, at whose mention you have risen, whose advent you have longed to witness, and the hour of whose Revelation you have prayed God to hasten.”
The Dawn-Breakers, pp. 315–316

May it bring joy and inspiration to your gatherings and Holy Day celebrations.
