Volume IV just published!

The Hands of the Cause of God had a very special role in history: their lives were completely focused on spreading the Bahá’í Faith and protecting it from disunity and division. These devoted souls faithfully served 'Abdu'l-Bahá and Shoghi Effendi, and prepared the Bahá’ís to elect the Universal House of Justice in 1963.

Volume I shares the inspiring stories of three beloved souls: Amelia Collins, Dorothy Baker, and Tarazu'llah Samandari. Volume II continues with the lives of Martha Root, Dr. Rahmatu'lláh Muhájir, and Enoch Olinga. Volume III highlights the remarkable journeys of three Hands of the Cause: Louis Gregory, Corinne True, and Abul-Qásim Faizi. Finally, Volume IV delves into the stories of Agnes Alexander, George Townshend, and Leroy Ioas.

Each book includes beautiful professionally colored original photographs.

"Where is Mr. Gregory? Bring Mr. Gregory!"
Opening words no less, to this power-packed volume 3 Hands of the Cause of God series. To me, most significant words by the Master, 'Abdu'l-Bahá, Who initiated the actions to begin the eradication of America’s ‘most vital and challenging issue,’ the pervasive racism in America. To find this introduction readily in the forefront of one of these tiny, yet power-packed volumes, spurred me, a reticent and reluctant reader, on to read about Martha Root in Volume 2.

Martha Root was brave, took chances, and travelled to spread this nascent Faith all over the world. Through thick and thin, ice and snow, ocean voyage, and dangerous pursuers, whom she outwitted by listening to her inspired heart. Honestly, I am a little jealous! She did it all and even kept her job as a news reporter back in the days of stark division between men and women.

These tiny but potent volumes capture these Hands of the Cause of God like flying birds of paradise, uncaged and soaring in the realms of the spirit. Best of all, I find myself willing to reread their biographies, to dare to emulate their actions, and to allow these heavenly souls to accompany me through this spiritual journey.

Thanks so much for this publication!
Sincerely,

Katherine Phillips
